Part 1: Hotel Pick-Up & The Road to O Quy Ho Pass
Your experience begins with pick-up at your hotel in Sapa. After a short safety briefing, you set off by scooter into the mountains, leaving the busy streets behind. The road quickly opens into a landscape of flower gardens, vegetable farms, forests and dramatic mountain slopes. We then reach O Quy Ho Pass, one of the most spectacular mountain roads in northern Vietnam. As we ride along its winding curves, you will enjoy expansive views across the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, deep valleys and terraced hillsides. Several scenic stops allow you to take photographs and simply enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Part 2: Ban Khoang – A Hidden Red Dao Valley
Leaving the main mountain road, we turn onto a quieter route leading deep into the forest. The ride takes us through lush rainforest and past mountain streams and waterfalls before reaching Ban Khoang, a peaceful valley inhabited by the Red Dao community. From Ban Khoang, we continue by scooter towards Ta Giang Phinh, a beautiful valley where Black Hmong villages are scattered along a peaceful stream. We take time to stop, enjoy a refreshing drink and explore part of the valley on foot.
