Who We Are
The Story Behind Sapa Motorbike Tours

Sapa Motorbike Tours was founded by two sisters, Anna and Ruby, who were born and raised in the mountains of Sapa. We grew up in a simple family where our parents worked hard to support us and always believed that education could open the door to a better future. From an early age, we were encouraged to study, and we developed a particular interest in English because we were fascinated by the idea of communicating with people from different countries and learning about life beyond our mountain home.
Growing up in Sapa gave us a very different childhood from many people living in Vietnam’s cities. Our daily surroundings were mountains, valleys, rice terraces, small villages, winding roads, forests, and farming communities. We became familiar with the landscape and the people around us from a young age. We did not know then that these ordinary parts of our childhood would eventually become the foundation of our careers.
After finishing high school, we moved to Hanoi to attend university and study Tourism. Leaving Sapa was a major change for us. Hanoi introduced us to a much larger and more international environment, and our studies gave us the opportunity to understand the tourism industry from a professional perspective.
Discovering the World Through Tourism
During our university years and our early careers, we began working with international travelers. We met visitors from Europe, North America, Australia, and many other parts of the world. We listened to their stories, answered their questions about Vietnam, practiced our English every day, and learned how travelers from different cultures experience a new destination.
Those experiences changed the way we looked at Sapa.
We already knew Sapa as our hometown, but working with international travelers taught us how special it could be from another perspective. Visitors were amazed by the mountains and rice terraces, but they were equally interested in the people who live among them, the local food, traditional villages, farming practices, markets, and the different cultures that have existed in the region for generations.
We began to understand that travelers were not simply looking for beautiful photographs. Many wanted to slow down and experience the destination more personally. They wanted to meet local people, travel through the countryside, discover quiet roads, and understand what everyday life in the mountains is really like.
That idea stayed with us.
Coming Back to Sapa
After several years studying and working away from home, we decided to return to Sapa. We wanted to bring our tourism experience back to the place where we grew up and build something that could benefit both travelers and our local community.
This was the beginning of Sapa Motorbike Tours.
We chose motorbikes because they are one of the most natural ways to explore the mountains around Sapa. A motorbike allows travelers to move beyond the busy center, follow winding mountain roads, stop at viewpoints, visit villages, and experience the landscape at a much more personal pace.
But our tours are not simply about riding a motorbike.
They are about discovering the places between the famous attractions.
The road through a mountain valley, a small village hidden beyond the main route, farmers working among the rice terraces, a local market filled with fresh produce, a family preparing traditional food, or a quiet viewpoint where there is nothing but mountains in every direction can sometimes become the moments travelers remember longest.
Because Sapa is our home, we want to share these experiences in a way that feels genuine rather than simply taking visitors from one sightseeing point to another.

Creating Opportunities for Local People
Building Sapa Motorbike Tours has given us another important purpose: creating employment and opportunities for people from our own community.
Sapa is home to many hardworking local people with valuable knowledge of the mountains, roads, villages, cultures, and traditions. There are experienced riders, local hosts, young people interested in tourism, English-speaking residents, and families whose livelihoods are connected to agriculture and local businesses.
We believe tourism can help create new opportunities for them.
As our company develops, we want to provide work for local drivers and young people who want to build careers in tourism while remaining close to their families. Working with international visitors gives young people the opportunity to improve their English, learn about other cultures, develop professional skills, and gain experience in an international environment.
This part of our work is especially meaningful to us because we understand the journey ourselves. We were once two young girls from Sapa who left our hometown to study in Hanoi and search for new opportunities. Today, we want to help create opportunities for others who may want to build their future here.
Showing Travelers the Sapa We Know
Sapa is famous for its dramatic mountains, Muong Hoa Valley, terraced rice fields, villages, and spectacular scenery. These places are certainly worth seeing, but there is another side of Sapa that is equally important to us.
It is the everyday life of the people who call these mountains home.
It is the sound of a motorbike traveling along a quiet mountain road in the morning. It is farmers working on the terraces as the seasons change. It is children walking home through a village. It is the smell of food being prepared in a local kitchen. It is a conversation with a family whose home has stood in the same valley for generations.
These experiences may seem simple, but they tell a much deeper story about Sapa.
We want our guests to have time to notice these details rather than simply passing through them. Our goal is to create journeys where the road itself becomes part of the experience.
Two Sisters and One Mountain Home
Everything behind Sapa Motorbike Tours comes from our own journey.
We were raised in a hardworking family in the mountains of Sapa. Our parents taught us that education matters and encouraged us to study even when opportunities were limited. Our interest in English introduced us to a world far beyond our hometown. Studying Tourism in Hanoi gave us professional knowledge and allowed us to meet travelers from around the world.
Eventually, all those experiences brought us back home.
Starting Sapa Motorbike Tours was our way of combining our professional experience with our personal connection to the mountains where we grew up.
We wanted to create a local company that could introduce travelers to Sapa through people who genuinely understand the region, while also creating meaningful work for members of our own community.
Our Way of Traveling
We believe that a good journey is not measured only by how many places you visit in one day.
It is measured by what you remember after you leave.
Perhaps it is the view from a mountain road. Perhaps it is a conversation with a local family. Perhaps it is a bowl of food you had never tried before. Perhaps it is the feeling of riding through the terraces while the mountains stretch out in front of you.
These are the moments we hope to create.
Our role is not simply to show you Sapa. It is to help you experience it from a local perspective.
We combine our knowledge of the region with our experience working with international travelers so that every journey can feel comfortable, personal, and authentic.

Welcome to Sapa
Sapa is more than a collection of beautiful landscapes.
It is a living mountain community shaped by generations of people, farming traditions, local cultures, changing seasons, and strong connections between families and villages.
For us, it is also home.
It is where our story started, where our parents built their lives, where we spent our childhood, and where we eventually decided to return.
Sapa Motorbike Tours is our way of sharing that home with travelers from around the world.
When you ride with us, we hope you will see the famous scenery, but also discover the quieter roads, meet local people, understand more about mountain life, and experience the Sapa that we have known since childhood.
We came back to our hometown with experience from the wider world.
Now we are proud to take you home with us.
